03: WRITERS ROOM

THIS IS WHERE YOU BELONG.

The Writers Room

A creative sanctuary where writers gather to find rhythm, encouragement, and community as they bring meaningful stories to life.

WRITERS ROOM

We're a growing community of people who love Jesus and the written word.

Whether you're exploring a new idea, deep in the middle of a manuscript, preparing to share your work, writing a song, or simply looking for a community where you can continue growing as a writer, there's a place for you here.

We believe that stories and ideas are placed within us for a reason — and that we are invited to create not only through our own strength, but through the creativity and purpose of the Creator who made us. Through creative experiences, intentional conversations, and dedicated time to write, the Writer’s Room offers space to develop your ideas, connect with other writers, and keep moving your words forward.

We love Jesus, and we love you too! All are welcome at the table.

GATHER.      COLLABORATE.     GROW.     CREATE.    GATHER.      COLLABORATE.     GROW.     CREATE.    GATHER.      COLLABORATE.     GROW.     CREATE.

I believe God places unique stories, ideas, and messages within each of us for a reason. The writing process can be deeply personal — often requiring quiet moments of reflection, listening, and creating. But there is also something powerful about walking alongside others who understand the journey.

I know the impact of having people who encourage me, challenge me, and remind me that the words I’m carrying matter. That’s why I believe so deeply in the power of creating together. When writers gather, we find inspiration, gain new perspective, and experience the encouragement that comes from knowing we are not the only ones navigating this creative journey.

“As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.”

Because writers need other writers.

One of the greatest gifts of the Writer's Room is knowing you're not creating alone. Celebrate progress, share encouragement, learn from one another, and discover the joy of being surrounded by people who understand the creative journey.

As our community grows, we'll continue creating intentional opportunities for deeper connection, collaboration, and shared experiences.

WRITERS ROOM

We're holding a seat at the table just for you.

The Writer’s Room began as a small gathering of writers sharing their words, encouraging one another, and continuing forward in their creative journeys. Now, we’re expanding that vision into a community where writers can connect, create, and grow together.

As the Writer’s Room grows, every writer who joins brings a unique voice, perspective, and story to the table. Together, we’re creating a space where meaningful conversations, creative rhythms, and genuine connection can continue to take shape.

STORIES OF FLOW

"When I attended the Give Me Jesus Retreat, it was a pivotal moment in my life. I was just starting to share my story that I had held for 40 years. I felt the Lord was leading me to write a book…or to at least start thinking of doing so. When I saw “The Writers Room” was a breakout session, I knew it was meant for me. In that session, I really started to believe I could do this. I published my first book in April 2026. It’s not the book that fully tells my story but that book is coming. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to believe in myself."

FAQS

Questions Writers Ask

What makes the Writers Room different from other writing memberships?

The Writers Room was created around a simple belief: meaningful stories need more than a place to be written — they need space to grow. While some writing communities focus primarily on accountability, critique, or productivity, the Writers Room creates room for writers to reconnect with their creativity, develop sustainable writing rhythms, and grow alongside others who understand the journey. This is not just a place to talk about writing. It is a place to practice it, nurture it, and be encouraged as you bring your stories to life.

Who leads the Writers Room?

The Writers Room is led by Traci Huhn, founder of FlowHouse Creative Co. Drawing from more than 17 years of experience in communications, storytelling, publishing, and creative development, Traci understands both the courage it takes to create and the importance of having a place to grow.

Through years of working with writers, authors, and creatives, she has seen the power of intentional solitude paired with meaningful community. Writers Room was created to provide the space every writer needs—where creativity is encouraged, stories are nurtured, and writers feel supported throughout the journey.

What happens during a Flow Session?

Flow Sessions are intentional creative spaces designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and make room for expression. Each session may include reflection, creative prompts, guided practices, conversation, and time to explore what you are creating. Flow Sessions are not about forcing productivity — they are about creating the conditions where meaningful work can emerge.

What is the difference between a Flow Session and a writing workshop?

A Flow Session focuses on the creative process — helping you reconnect with your ideas, find your rhythm, and create from a place of intention.

A writing workshop focuses on developing specific skills, techniques, or knowledge to help you grow as a writer.

Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes. One nurtures the creative process; the other strengthens specific areas of your writing.

Are Writers Room gatherings in-person or virtual?

The Writers Room is designed to be accessible wherever you are. Most gatherings will be offered virtually, with occasional opportunities for in-person gatherings, workshops, or creative experiences. The goal is to create meaningful connection while making space for writers with different schedules, locations, and seasons of life.

Are there opportunities for co-writing?

Yes. Writers Room includes opportunities for intentional co-writing sessions where writers can gather together, set aside distractions, and create alongside one another. Sometimes the most powerful thing a writer needs is simply a room full of people who understand the desire to create.

What kinds of projects are available for contributors?

As FlowHouse grows, there will be opportunities for writers to contribute to select projects, including collections, collaborative works, and other creative opportunities. Contributor opportunities will vary by project and are designed to help writers share their voices while participating in meaningful storytelling experiences.

I'm not sure if I consider myself a "writer", is the Writers Room for me?

If you feel drawn to create, tell stories, share ideas, or explore your voice, there is room for you here. The Writers Room is for emerging writers, experienced writers, authors, and creatives who want a supportive space to grow. You do not have to have a finished manuscript, a published work, or all the answers. You simply need a willingness to begin.
